True Love Waits Banquet.
Saturday, March 24, 2012 - 5:45pm
Each year at this time we spend several weeks teaching the Scriptural guidelines that God has given us for good stewardship in our relationships and the importance of purity in dating relations. On March 24, a special family banquet and pledge ceremony will highlight the lessons and commitment of purity that God desires for each of us.
What is the True Love Waits commitment? “True Love Waits” is an international campaign that challenges teenagers and college students to remain sexually abstinent until marriage. To date, nearly 3 million young people have signed covenant cards stating: “Believing that true love waits, I make a commitment to God, myself, my family, my friends, my future mate, and my future children to be sexually abstinent from this day until the day I enter a biblical marriage relationship.” We will be asking parents to make a commitment to love, listen, support and stand with their student as they make the above commitment.
PARENT’S PARTNERSHIP: We partner with parents to bring Biblical truths into each home. With out the help of moms and dads ( and the church body) this event would not be possible.
The public is welcome to join us for the 6:30 ceremony. Tickets are required for the banquet.
